A new Mum in place

She is not home.
The old is no more.
A shell remains.
Not empty, just different.

Her reality, shape shifted.
Stuck in the in between.
The now and the past.
And the doorway beyond.

Back into the past.
The mirror of passage.
Only she sees the movie.
And no one has the ticket.

The face of a stranger.
No recognition.
A silent stare.
Eyes that see a stranger.

A fractured mirror.
Pieces with new images.
Old life fading away.
A new Mum in place.
