Advent….preparing for Christmas

Today is the start of the season of Advent.

The Advent wreath has four candles. The first candle (purple) will be lit today. It is the Prophesy candle and it symbolises Hope.

The second candle (purple) is the Bethlehem candle, it symbolises Love.

The third candle which is pink is the Shepherd’s candle, it symbolises Joy.

The fourth candle (purple) is the Angel’s candle, it symbolises Peace.
