Maybe, I just don’t care anymore

Carefree days of simple pleasures.
On the spur of the moment choices.
To get in the car and go visit friends.
A lazy day, out for a meal at a cafe.

Now, the days merge together.
One day same as the next.
Deja Vu! I did this yesterday.
Same routine. Same chores.

A drudgery like a wet rainy day.
Waiting for the sun to come out.
But it stays hidden in the gloom.
The same day fades into the next.

The loop continues its merging.
Carefree days are gone. Poofed!
Is it Monday already? I’m not sure.
Maybe, I just don’t care anymore.
