As we enter into Advent again

Another year, enter Advent.
Jesus is coming again.
Time to prepare oneself.
Open your heart and soul.

To do penance; to fast.
There are no fixed rules.
The individual decides.
To ask, “What is Advent?”

That crucial question.
What is Advent? Tell me.
I still don’t understand.
I am failing spirituality.

Four candles on a wreath.
Hope, Faith, Peace in purple.
Pink, the third Sunday is joy.
Be ready to receive Jesus.

Waiting in anticipation.
Spring clean our homes.
Out comes the Christmas tree.
Tinsels and ornaments adorn.

As we enter into Advent again.
The Christmas story retold.
The crib awaits the baby Jesus.
Christmas Day is almost here.

In Bethlehem, that first Noel.
The Saviour born, as foretold.
Happy Birthday, baby Jesus.
Jesus is Christmas. Rejoice!
