What is it you’re praying for?

You do all that you can.
And yet you are not appreciated.
More demand is put on you.
Your shoulders bend; tired.

You pray… and pray.
What is it you’re praying for?
You don’t really know.
Your mind and heart at war.

You worried instead of trusting.
The welfare of family comes first.
You should’ve worried about you.
The irony of it, you suffer.

They ask. They take.
They make you feel guilty.
Your mind tells you: Say No!
But your heart cannot.

Yet, no one sees your pain.
No, this is not the full picture.
Someone does carry your load.
Your friend, sent by God.
