Obliviate! Tales going awry

autumn

A spell on the bard’s pen.
A mocking bird without rhyme.
Of tales inked with spells.
The fairie book. A Grimms tale.

The broken wand. Mayhem.
Into the Gingerbread house.
A spell cast on the spindle.
Sleeping Beauty dies.

The clock struck midnight.
Cinderella lost a shoe.
Into the woods she ran.
Snow White lost forever.

No horses or carriage seen.
The pumpkin so forlorn.
A darkness looms ahead.
The mirror never lies.

Sing a song of sixpence.
Black birds baked in pies.
He pulled out a plum.
While the queen had tea.

Humpty Dumpty fell off.
They tried to patch him up.
Then came Jack and Jill.
Falling, falling. They broke.

Come my pretty; come!
Hedgewig soars, searching.
Tick-tock. The mice ran away.
The wizard Harry enters Oz.

Aslan roared in Hogwarts.
The bard gasped in dismay.
Tales going awry; changing.
Obliviate! The pen disappears.
