Be silent!

Be silent! A mantra repeated.
The mouth opens, unstoppable.
The mind screams no…no…no.
Hurtful words pour out.

Anger is still burning.
Shame washes over the soul.
Of control lost over anger.
The mouth failing to be silent.

With clenched fist.
Holding anger in check.
Even with clenched teeth,
anger comes out screaming.

In the heat of anger.
Each time is conveyed
this wrong impression.
There is only shame afterwards.

Be silent! No matter what.
Know that words in anger, hurts.
Walk away! Walk away!
Remain silent. Walk away!
