Heaven is still missing

Heaven is still missing.
The heart beats on.
Its rhythm giving calm.
Yet, emptiness is felt.

Worry looms ahead.
This care for others.
To carry each day
On shoulders so tired.

Worry fills the day.
It spills into the next.
Weighs the soul down.
Does prayer bring comfort?

Alone. Realisation hits.
Work becomes a sanctuary.
For a little while reprieve.
Panic kept at bay.

The parable of the sower.
Like the seed fallen.
Among the thorns, choked.
Worry overwhelms the soul.

Heaven is still missing.
Will prayer reach heaven?
Obedience a saving grace.
To ask! To seek! To knock!
