Dec 23: His peace is an everlasting promise

At home: The Christmas wreath with the pink candle peeking out among the snowmen.

Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do, and something you give away. – Robert Fulghum

For the mountains may go away and the hills may totter, but my faithful love will never leave you, my covenant of peace will never totter, says Yahweh who takes pity on you. – Isaiah 54:10

We wish upon a shooting star.
Crossing our fingers and toes.
Please, please, let this wish come true.
How many times have we been disappointed?

The child in us has grown up.
We turn to the Father with our requests.
His love and peace will never falter.
His promise to us is forever.

He wants us to share peace with each other.
Do good onto others, make peace with your enemy.
Give a helping hand to those in need.
His peace is an everlasting promise.

Our life is not perfect, we are broken.
But because of God’s love and peace,
We can share of His peace with each other.
How privilege are we to be children of God.

Please continue to share with friends, for the World needs our prayers. Peace be with you. Amen.

I'm a Eurasian of Portuguese, English, Scottish and Malay heritage. And my extended family are of Chinese and Indian heritage. In recent years, the younger generation have added on to include spouses from the Philippines, Nigeria and Russia. My world is made up of different colours like the rainbow. And like the rainbow I am unique. Reading is my form of relaxation, to escape from the drudgery of daily life and enter into a world of the imagination. It is the love of reading that has led me to try my hand in writing short stories and poems. I hope that in some way my stories and poems will take you for a little while away from the drudgery of the present into the pages of imagination. To new friends found, I bid you, Welcome. Sincerely, C.E. Pereira
