Right from wrong

When did it get hard,
to see right from wrong?
The grey area no more
a black hole getting bigger.

Those in power flaunting
We see justice getting lost
A wrong twisted into a right
what will our children learn?

With wealth, power follows
Abuse happens, corruption easy
Integrity compromised
the conscience destroyed.

Daily in the newspaper
Right from wrong covered up
With forked tongues
a lie becomes the truth.

Stop! Prevent! Fight!
Slogans of moral.
Do right from wrong
the soul in danger.

A strong backbone
A spine straight, upright
To do the right thing
even when you stand alone.
