I imagine the dance,
the sway of the body,
in the mirror a different reflection,
in truth I cannot dance.
The body not fluid,
legs with misstep
Uncoordinated in every move,
not in sync with the music.
Expressions released,
the soul will not be quiet,
it shouts out, rhythm lost,
the Lord hears, the soul sighs.
The soul sings and dance,
it welcomes the Lord’s presence,
joy fills the air,
the happy tap of dancing feet.
The soul hears a different tune,
eyes closed, hearing the music,
to truly dance,
shall I indeed sing to the Lord.
