Trick or treat, lots of candies.
Little witches and warlocks all hyper.
Excited with fun in scary costumes,
Zombies, Mummies, and the Scarecrow awakes.

A pumpkin graces the front door,
its insides scraped out, hollow now,
eyes, nose and mouth carved artistically,
a candle glows casting eerie shadows.

In days gone by, called All Hallows Eve,
Where witches kept secret their coven,
And those who burned at the stake,
Curses made, ignorance continues.

The haunted house, decked up to bring goose bumps and sheriks from its visitors.

We are drawn to scary movies,
Either screaming or eyes closed,
Most of us won’t forego a challenge,
In the dark cinema, chilling screams will be heard.

So, come Halloween, kids to grownups will celebrate,
from trick to treat around the neighbourhood,
to haunted house parties with gruesome sights,
the fun of Halloween, how afraid do you want to be.

To all my friends and cyber-friends, a happy Halloween. Enjoy and have fun.
